April 2019 Mission is here

In April 2019 Saving Lives Initiative would be making a return to Sierra Leone in fulfillment of our commitment to supplement the medical services to the under-served population of Sierra Leone. The scheduled mission will run from April 25 through May 6, 2019.
The proposed scope of our activities will include free surgery sessions at the Connaught Teaching Hospital and the Sierra Leone Police Medical Hospital. The surgeries will be accompanied by training of medical staff in pre and post-op procedures, critical care and anesthesia techniques. Also a team of health care workers and police personnel will benefit from a week of training in BLS/First Aid training the trainers session. We also donate medical supplies and equipment which are critical to enhancing the newly acquired skills of the medical staff.
These surgeries will create immediate relief to individuals who otherwise will not have access or are economically challenged to pay for their surgeries. The training sessions are to ensure the sustainability of the program long after the mission teams have left.
